  • On a professional note, I have been studying health for 17 years and the more I learn, the more inspired I become about the human potential. True health to me, is about function, and can not be defined by the absence of illness. We are born to be self-healing and self-regulating and our lifestyle choices play a large role in how effectively this occurs. My passion is to share with others how they can tap into their potential so that they can not only add years to their life, but more importantly, life to their years. I have been active my entire life, and gravitated towards Exercise & Health Physiology when I entered University. The focus on prevention and true health via living an active lifestyle was the dominant theme. I absolutely loved the program and it wasn't long before it led me to study Chiropractic. My professional journey has also been a personal one and I'm excited for what's to come!

  • r. Julia Viscomi was born and raised in Aurora, a small town just north of Toronto. When she was 17, her father, a chiropractor, asked her to be his chiropractic assistant one summer. (Hons.) at the University of Toronto before attending the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, graduating with clinic honours. With a keen interest in promoting interprofessional collaboration to optimize patient care, Dr. Viscomi was passionately involved in many councils while in chiropractic college: She served as the academic director of the interprofessional council, a group that encouraged interprofessional relationships amongst chiropractors, medical doctors, and other health care practitioners; and student representatives on the SCCA (Students and Chiropractors of Canada Association), ASC (Advancing Science in Chiropractic), and WCCS (World Congress of Chiropractic Students) councils.
