About Janel Ball

I received my Master’s Degree in Integrative Counselling Practice from the University of Derby in England. My certification as a person-centred counsellor at the Counsellor Training Institute of Canada in Vancouver. I have received my advanced level EMDR certification from the EMDR Association of Canada. I am Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through my membership with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors. I also maintain membership with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (MBACP). I am a member of EMDRAC (EMDR Canada) and EMDRIA (EMDR International Association). For more than a decade now I have specialized in working with Men's Issues. My past work experience includes working as a counsellor with the BC Society for Male Survivors of Sexual Abuse (BCSMSSA) doing long-term trauma counselling for more than 3 years. I have also worked as a drug and alcohol counsellor at a methadone clinic as well as facilitating various workshops, support groups, and therapy groups. In addition, my credentials have allowed me to teach at the Vancouver College of Counsellor Training.
