About Kim Boivin
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor, a member of the BCACC, and a Certified EMDR therapist. I completed my Masters of Education in Counselling Psychology at UVic and my BA in Cultural Anthropology at SFU. I have also been trained as a Safe Teen Assertiveness Facilitator. I launched Positive Change Counselling Services in 2006 and it’s been growing ever since. Currently, I’m enhancing my skills by training in Gottman’s Couples Counselling and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. My work with people is guided by my extensive training and clinical experience as well as through the wisdom I have gained through the challenges of my own life experience. I am able to offer better service to people I work with because I know, firsthand, what it feels like to be a client. I offer compassion, stability, and real solutions to help promote the positive change that I know clients are often seeking. My work is also enriched by my own practice of mindfulness meditation. I also enjoy baking, dancing, and spending time with my treasured family and friends.
