About Kim Watt
How are you doing? Are things going as well as you'd like them to? If not, maybe I can help. I understand how challenging day-to-day life can be, and have the skills and experience to help you manage your mood, your relationships, or whatever else may be bothering you.
I've worked with a variety of individuals, couples, and families in educational and community settings. I specialize in working with step-parents and blended families, as well as adults who struggle with difficult families of origin, and welcome clients who are working through challenging or dysfunctional situations of all sorts. I'm also experienced in helping teenagers and adults manage the effects of depression, anxiety, stress, and life transitions and am currently accepting new clients.
I believe that health is a holistic concept that requires awareness of both emotional and physical wellness. I also believe in the benefits of stress reduction and encourage my clients to consider lifestyle adjustments to help reduce feelings of unwellness. I work from a narrative perspective, but incorporate mindfulness and other perspectives in my work.
I'm currently accepting new clients, offer free initial appointments both in-person and on the phone, and have daytime, evening, and weekend appointments available. My fees are based on a sliding scale and as such, my rates may be reduced; please contact me to discuss your particular situation.
