About Sara Kamin, BSc (Hons.), MSc, DipTIRP, OSP, RP

My name is Sara Kamin, and I am a Toronto-based Registered Psychotherapist providing individual and couples therapy and counselling. I provide a space in which you can talk through the challenges of life in the context of a safe relationship with a caring therapist. I approach my work as a therapist with relational and empathic listening, nonjudgmental exploration, interactive engagement, respectful challenge, and mutual, collaborative participation in the therapeutic process. My work is informed by a holistic approach that respects the relational, interconnected nature of human experience. Together, we will explore the emotional, cognitive, physical, sociocultural, historical, and spiritual factors impacting your life. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. I hold a Diploma in Relational Psychotherapy from the Toronto Institute for Relational Psychotherapy, an intensive three-year theoretical and clinical training program in psychodynamic, intersubjective, relational psychotherapy. I am also a Clinical Member (and past Executive Board Member) of the Ontario Society of Psychotherapists, and a member of the International Association for Relational Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy and the American Psychological Association’s Division of Psychotherapy. I have an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Toronto and a Master of Science in Performance Psychology from the University of Edinburgh. I am also a professional musician and published writer/researcher, and have many years of experience as a consultant and college/university instructor.
